Taste & texture

These named mango varieties are worth comparing at similar ripeness; a mango that ships well doesn't necessarily taste best.

Read the evidence

In the report’s aggregation of consumer responses to 19 southern Florida mango cultivars, Edward ranked highest, followed by Rosigold and Palmer. Samples for tasting were ripened at 20°C and 95% relative humidity and were not given the hot-water treatment used in separate shipping trials.
